We are looking for an experienced Director of Facilities Success who will continually foster a productive and safe work environment for Realty Income team members across the globe. They will oversee facilities, office equipment, maintenance, and safety protocols for the San Diego and Phoenix offices. Additionally, this role will have the opportunity to collaborate on the support of office operations in London, UK and Amsterdam, Netherlands, on a remote basis. This role is tasked with ensuring secure, efficient, and well-maintained workspace standards. They will coordinate facilities operations, driving innovation and strategic improvements in service, safety, and capital expenditures. Key focus areas include facilities management, security, office machinery, maintenance, and safety.
Specifically, the Director of Facilities Success will be responsible for:
Physical Access & Control
- Manage, create, replace, and disable of building/office/parking access as needed.
- Manage and monitor security cameras.
- Ensure safety and security walkthroughs to verify points of access/exits are secure and not obstructed.
- Ensure all first aid and AED units are available and ready for use.
- Communicate with building management and security to stay informed and prepared for building activities (e.g., construction, installations, fire drills).
Health & Safety Protocol
- Coordinate CPR/AED training.
- Coordinate Workplace Harassment and Workplace Violence training.
- Ensure that work zones are managed appropriately by communicating to employees.
- Manage emergencies by dispatching local rescue as appropriate, incident logging and reporting to People Success.
- Report any unsafe conditions to the Sr. Facilities Technician for resolution.
- Verification of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
- Verify that Emergency Evacuation Plan is up to date in coordination with People Success.
People Success Support:
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Collaborate with People Success to implement and maintain office policies.
- Support company events and town hall meetings by coordinating meeting spaces.
- Manage guest and visiting remote employee access, and internal connections.
- Ensure a high performing front desk process for guests and visiting employees.
- Management of floor plans and office reservation program.
Budget Management:
- Manage and create the U.S. Facilities budget by proactively maintaining office equipment, sourcing cost-effective supplies, and aligning purchases to stay within the budget.
Office Operations:
- Accept courier & mail deliveries.
- Ensure break rooms are stocked, and appliances are operational.
- Manage ergonomic equipment installation and adjustments.
Space Planning & Office Moves:
- Coordinate department office/desk moves to optimize space usage.
- Maintain updated office floor plans with seat assignments.
- Supervise construction or remodeling projects to accommodate business growth.
- Manage reservation software of desk hoteling spaces in alignment with office floor plans.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Ensure that recycling efforts and practices are in place to minimize waste and support the corporate sustainability commitment.
Janitorial Oversight:
- Maintain safety documentation (MSDS) for all office chemicals.
- Lead quality assurance that all areas of the office environment are sanitary, well stocked, and disinfected routinely throughout each day.
- Ensure high visibility areas are maintained with the highest standards to demonstrate company excellence and attention to detail.
- Manage applicable safety procedures and PPE supplies.
Vendor & Contractor Management:
- Manage contracts, certificates of insurance (COIs), office machinery maintenance, and repairs as necessary.
The Director of Facilities Success is a highly collaborative position requiring strong communication, organization, and project management skills. Specifically, the requirements for this role are:
- High school diploma required; college degree is preferred.
- 5 or more years’ experience in facilities management, with direct supervisory experience.
- Proficiency with computers, printers, copy machines and other office technology.
- Experience in emergency response, security, and disaster recovery planning.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of sustainability initiatives, including recycling and e-cycling programs.
- It is preferred candidates will have the following certifications: Facilities Management Professional (FMP); Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP); and CPR/AED Professional

This is a hybrid role, with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays required in-office.
The pay range for this role is $93,875 - $120,138 - $147,489
Offers near the high end are uncommon but may be considered for candidates with exceptional experience and skills and are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. You may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and an annual discretionary stock award, to be discussed during the interview process. An annual pay rate and total compensation package is generally determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, education, skills, performance, and abilities, as well as internal equity, company performance, and alignment with market data.
