What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker position at Rebecca School?
Rebecca School seeks a NY State,(LMSW or LCSW) , Social Worker for the 2022-2023 school year. This Social worker will join a large, team of providers in a clinical school setting that provides educational, clinical and therapeutic services to students with a Neurodevelopmental delay. Rebecca School is a developmental program that utilizes the DIRFloortime® method, a developmental relationship-based model developed by Dr. Stanley Greenspan. Our school serves children and young adults ranging in ages 3-21.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Providing counseling, psychoeducation and support to students and families
Conducting biopsychosocial histories and intake interviews
Working in a multidisciplinary team/ providing support and consultation
Supporting and collaborating with teachers and related services providers
Participating in IEP meetings
Strong organizational, writing, clinical assessment and interpersonal skills required. This position begins Sept. 6, 2022, on a 10-month basis.
