Construction Rehab Project Coordinator
Location: Orlando

Overview of position
The Construction Rehab Project Coordinator serves on the Rehab Construction Team and provides direct service to the organization’s Rehab efforts. The Rehab Project Coordinator reports to the Senior Director of Operations. The Rehab Project Coordinator is responsible for all phases of rehab from permitting to CO with superintendent responsibilities including but not limited to onsite supervision with subcontractors, ordering material, and general project oversight.. They will ensure that tasks and milestones are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Essential Job Functions
Manage, coordinate, and oversee if the project, including but not limited to a work crew, that includes subcontractors, participants and volunteers providing critical home repairs to RTTB’s clients.
Responsibilities also include:
· Responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing job scheduling (subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion)
· Complete home assessments/inspections to learn the need of the applicant.
· Prepare project budgets, scopes of work and manage project finances.
· Conduct meetings, when necessary, with inspectors, utility companies and subcontractors
· Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
· Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution
· Assist in permit process and any obstacles
· Communicating with construction team daily on progress and any changes of job sites
· Complete bidding process for subcontractors on new projects
· Network to find additional subcontractors to add to our portfolio
· Maintain Builders trend data and any needed worksheets to include budgets.
· Order materials necessary for sub-contractors.
· Develop and implement safety procedures for the project.
· Work closely with accounting department to ensure we are staying within allotted budget for each project.
· Oversee all aspects of rehab from planning through completion.
· Assist with supervision and training of new rehab coordinators in all RTTB Markets.
Perform other duties and other responsibilities as required
Ensure all pre-project arrangements are made, which includes:
- Ensure that all required permits and approvals are obtained before project commencement.
- Any necessary scope of work changes
- Final agreement on the scope of work
- All documents signed by all necessary parties
- Post-project final sign-off
Participate in the shared duties of the Construction Team, including:
- Up to 10 Saturdays per year leading volunteer days
- Project reporting
- Regular status updates to Director of Operations or Executive Director as needed.
- Other duties as assigned based on special projects and opportunities.
General Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
· A sincere and deep commitment to the mission of Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay/Central Florida.
· Minimum of 5 years experience in relevant field.
· Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with a diverse group of staff, clients, and stakeholders to include sub-contractors and volunteers.
· Entrepreneurial and enthusiastic about working in a fluid, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
· Strong personal work ethic and the desire to take pride in assigned work.
· High emotional intelligence.
· Must be willing to travel throughout the RTTB/RTCFL region.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional weekends for outreach and volunteer events.
· Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.
· Construction knowledge/experience is required.
Skills & Capabilities
· Knowledge of construction principles, general contracting and home repair are must
· Keen awareness and understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable populations.
· Experience with volunteer or worksite crew leadership highly desirable.
· Effective time management and organizational skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build teamwork and motivate a wide variety of individuals and stakeholders to include volunteers.
· Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Builder’s trend, Salesforce and eager to engage with new technologies.
· This job may be physical in nature. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; lift and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs; and talk and hear. Use of computer is required.
