What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Engagement and Marketing Coordinator position at Recovery Beyond?
Recovery Beyond is looking for a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented Member Engagement and Marketing Coordinator to help grow and energize our recovery-focused community. This person will play a key role in strengthening connections with our members, increasing participation in our programs, and ensuring our story is being told well through compelling marketing and outreach.
You’ll lead the charge in engaging current and prospective members, manage our marketing channels, and develop thoughtful onboarding experiences. If you're a connector, storyteller, and organized self-starter, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Member Engagement
- Develop and implement strategies to increase member participation, retention, and satisfaction.
- Create and coordinate regular communication with members (emails, updates, newsletters).
- Build strong relationships with members to understand their needs and interests.
Marketing & Communications
- Manage Recovery Beyond’s website and keep content current, engaging, and aligned with our mission.
- Lead our social media presence across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), including content creation, scheduling, and engagement.
- Coordinate paid advertising and promotions to drive visibility and outreach.
- Design and maintain marketing materials, digital campaigns, and email newsletters.
Membership Enrollment & Orientation
- Respond to new membership inquiries and manage the enrollment process.
- Develop and lead onboarding/orientation sessions for new members.
- Maintain accurate member records and track engagement metrics.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, community engagement, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Experience managing websites (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace) and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
- Comfortable using social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Zoho, Later, Buffer, Hootsuite).
- Ability to work independently, think creatively, and collaborate well with others.
- A passion for recovery, community building, and making a difference.
Bonus Points For
- Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Photography or video editing skills.
- Experience working in a nonprofit, membership-based, or mission-driven organization.
- Familiarity with CRM/member management systems.
