The Recovery Center of Ohio is seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Outreach Specialist to join our mission. This role involves increasing awareness of our services, fostering community partnerships, and attending community events to promote our mission. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy, trauma-informed care principles, and a genuine enthusiasm for making a significant impact on the lives of individuals seeking support and recovery. This role is crucial in driving community engagement and generating referrals, ensuring that our comprehensive care reaches those in need.
This position is hourly, starting at $17 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement:
- Represent The Recovery Center of Ohio at community events, health fairs, and other relevant gatherings.
- Identify and participate in community initiatives and events aligned with our mission.
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders.
Outreach and Education:
- Provide information about our programs and services to community members and potential clients.
- Conduct presentations and workshops to educate the public about substance use disorders and available resources.
Partnership Development:
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, healthcare providers, and other relevant entities.
- Collaborate with partners to create a holistic system of care for individuals with substance use disorders.
Tracking and Reporting:
- Track outreach activities and outcomes, including the number of events attended, partnerships developed, and referrals generated.
- Provide regular reports on outreach activities and their impact.
Referral Generation:
- Identify opportunities to generate referrals to The Recovery Center of Ohio.
- Follow up with individuals and organizations interested in our programs and services.
Qualifications
- Experience in community outreach, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for helping individuals with substance use disorders and promoting community health.
- Graphic design capabilities for digital marketing are a plus but not required.
Compensation
This position is hourly, starting at $17 per hour.
