How you make a difference

The Forensic Psychologist conducts competency to proceed evaluations and violence risk assessments while also administering various psychological evaluations and tests. They offer individual and group psychotherapy and provide staff education on psychological matters. Additionally, the psychologist plays a vital role in the treatment team, offering supervision to psychology trainees engaged in psychological services and overseeing forensic reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts forensic assessments and psychological evaluations, consulting with multidisciplinary teams and offering expert testimony in court.• Supervises and trains psychology students and interns, providing education to the clinical team as needed, and adhering to ethical and clinical principles.• Delivers individual and group psychotherapy, competency groups, and psycho-education as required.• Ensures thorough and timely documentation of services, following professional standards and facility procedures.• Participates in trainings, observes group interactions to identify mental health concerns, and collaborates with clients and clinical team members on treatment approaches.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology from an accredited university

Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in clinical psychology desired.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Current license as a Psychologist in the state of practice
