What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Cashier / Food Expeditor position at Red Bear Brewing?
There are no weekday morning/afternoon shifts. Weekday shifts begin at 4pm.
Must have at least 1 year of Restaurant or Bar experience
(Fast Food experience does not apply)

JOB DUTIES
- Be gracious, friendly, patient and have a helpful attitude towards guests as the first person they see.
- As Game Host, facilitate guests "checking out" board games to enjoy while in the taproom.
- As Kitchen Cashier, work as expo, paging guests to pick up their food from the kitchen window, taking food orders, and selling merch.
- ID check guests when required
- Answer the phone, taking any messages as needed
- Assist with customers inquiries or complaints when asked.
- Have a strong knowledge of all products sol
- Support the bartenders, taproom manager and other staff as needed
- Help with restocking, cleaning, setup and/or breakdown of the taproom, restrooms, patio, and all other service areas as needed
- Follow all safety and health regulations
- Any other assigned tasks as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent customer service skills
- Enjoy Board games and/or be willing to learn about them.
- Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Enjoy working in public in a positive friendly manner
- Ability to take direction and work both independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, other staff and management
- Passion for craft beer and brewing with a desire to learn more
- Positive, fun attitude and self-motivated work ethic
- Be able to work in a noisy and often very active environment
- Ability to stand in one place for extended periods of time
- Ability to work outside for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Commitment to learning the basics of ASL
- Flexible schedule with mandatory availability on nights and weekends
- Willingness & ability to engage with digital interface for scheduling & team communication
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with electronic tablet ordering system, digital point of sale
- Bar or sit down Restaurant Experience required
Hosts average $25 - $30 an hour after tip out!!
