Job Overview:
The Sup House RN (Supervisory House Registered Nurse) is a key leadership role within a healthcare facility, responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position involves coordinating and supervising daily operations on the nursing floor, managing patient care assignments, and addressing any issues that arise. The Sup House RN also acts as a liaison between the nursing team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Additionally, this role includes monitoring patient progress, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and providing support and guidance to nursing staff to enhance their professional development and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Education:
Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing
Experience:
At least one year previous experience in clinical unit preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills required. Requires physical stamina and emotional stability.
Licenses/Certificates:
Current IL RN license required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through The American Heart Association required upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications must be obtained by the end of the month following 90 days of employment. TNCC/TNS & ENPC preferred.
