Adult Education GED Instructor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Adult Education Teacher to join our educational team as a part time instructor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to adult learners with the goal of earning their GED or improving their basic skills, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment. This role requires a commitment to empowering students through effective teaching strategies, tailored curriculum development, and supportive classroom management.

Duties

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of adult learners.
• Retain students to complete their educational goals.
• Use data to make educational decisions and monitor student progress.
• Actively work to meet the schools annual targets and goals.
• Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and activities that promote critical thinking and participation.
• Assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback.
• Design curriculum that incorporates best practices in adult education, including literacy and language instruction.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with varying abilities.
• Collaborate with other educators to enhance instructional strategies and share resources.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
• Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages lifelong learning.

Skills

• Proficiency in adult education methodologies and best practices is preferred but not required.
• Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for adult learners.
• Strong skills in instructional design to develop effective teaching materials
