What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beverage Shift Supervisor position at Red Hawk Casino?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervises and trains Beverage Servers, Bartenders, Barbacks and beverage utility on an assigned shift.
• Ensures the smooth and efficient service throughout all beverage facilities in the casino.
• Calibrates automatic beverage systems.
• Conducts shift meetings with beverage staff assigning stations and facilitating the flow of information throughout the department.
• Handles all team member relation issues as needed.
• Supervises and reports to management all team member call-ins and scheduling conflicts to ensure a property cost effective staffing level.
• Maintains professional grooming and appearance and acts as a role model according to established grooming and appearance policy.
• Monitors guest alcohol consumption and responds accordingly.
• Works in a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized manner, abiding by all health and safety regulations.
• Promotes outstanding guest services throughout the casino resolving any guest dispute promptly and in a courteous manner.
• Maintains knowledge of all state alcohol and gaming regulations and ensures adherence.
• Makes recommendations and suggestions and hire, suspend, transfer, discipline and terminate.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Abides by all regulatory, internal, federal, and state controls and procedures.
• Supervises the beverage service team members.
• Create and utilize a comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy through both formal and informal feedback as well as constant communication
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of supervisory experience in casino or similar environment preferred.
• One year experience in a high volume beverage operation or food and beverage environment required.
• Basic knowledge of ABC and regulations required.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Appropriate licenses, as required and ServSafe® certification, or ability to become certified, required.
• Knowledge of FDA Food Code standards required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
