Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Locksmith Shop Attendant to assist customers, support locksmiths, and conduct operations in our shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of locksmith tools and services is a plus but not necessary and we provide on the job training (training provided if necessary).
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist walk-in customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule service appointments, and provide basic quotes
- Create and duplicate keys using cutting machines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and inventory
- Use company vehicles to deliver and obtain supplies to different locations
- Receive and inspect deliveries of locks, hardware, and tools
- Support colleges by preparing materials and tools for jobs
- Process sales transactions and maintain accurate records
- Perform basic clerical duties, including filing, data entry, and light bookkeeping
- Ensure shop security procedures are followed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license
- Customer service or retail experience preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn about locksmith tools and equipment
- Ability to use point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and multitask
