ABOUT:
Red Light’s internal Creative Services team is seeking a driven, detail-oriented intern with interests to expand their design experience and gain a better understanding of the electronic music space. Ideal candidates will desire to enhance their skill sets, learn new ones, approach challenges enthusiastically, take creative initiative, and adapt to feedback with ease.
You will be exposed to a wide variety of media projects and operations of the industry. You will work under the supervision of the content creation team and participate in meetings with our social media and digital marketing counterparts. This position offers the opportunity to work with influential people in the electronic community and experience the inner workings of an in-house creative team. Red Light Management is a cornerstone of the music industry, upholding and growing its standards of artistic excellence time and time again.
The right candidate will have a strong portfolio, a passion for music and art, a positive demeanor, consistent work ethic, and a desire to grow creatively.
Term: August 26th – December 12th. 14 hours/week commitment. We are based in Century City, Los Angeles and function on a hybrid schedule. Candidates who can come in at least once a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) are strongly preferred.
This is a paid position. School credits can be earned pending your school’s policy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with programs in the Adobe Creative Suite relevant to your field of practice. Photoshop is a MUST. Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, InDesign, etc are a plus.
- Someone with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic, who is attentive to detail, well-organized, eager to learn, and receptive to feedback.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must have exceptional time management skills. Must be able to work on hand off projects accordingly.
- A strong interest in learning more about graphic design, alongside motion design, photo / video, or illustration.
- A keen interest in the electronic music industry.
- Must be able to commit 14 hours per week, August 26th – December 12th.
