Job Overview
As a dedicated Child Caregiver at Red Oak ISD- Little Hawks Learning Center, we are seeking someone who can be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children aged 6 weeks through 5 years of age. The Child Caregiver role involves actively engaging with children through age-appropriate activities, fostering social, emotional and cognitive development, and ensuring their overall well-being throughout the day. The ideal candidate is willing to collaborate with parents and other staff to support each child's unique needs and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
-Supervise children in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
-Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development (e.g., arts and crafts, reading, physical activities). *Curriculum is provided, but you have the autonomy to bring in your own ideas to meet the theme*
-Assist with daily routines such as meal times, potty training, nap times, and hygiene.
-Create a warm, caring atmosphere that encourages positive behavior, social interaction, and emotional growth.
-Provide support during transitions (e.g., drop-off, pick-up, or moving between activities).
-Foster a sense of community by encouraging teamwork, cooperation, and respectful communication among children.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with parents and team members.
-Patience, empathy, and the ability to manage challenging behaviors with a positive approach.
-Team player with a passion for working with children and contributing to their overall growth.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or caregiving is preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus, but we can provide.
-Previous knowledge of Texas Childcare Minimum Standards is a plus
