Senior Process Engineer (12 month contract // Minneapolis, MN):
Top 3 Skills Required:
- Manufacturing engineering experience with injection molding processes, demonstrated successful problem solving within this process space
- Mold tooling/fixture design and development
- Author protocols/reports and execute equipment installation qualifications (IQ)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support molding development by executing studies, troubleshooting mold tooling, and maturing process capability
- Documenting key technical learnings and recommendations for improvements
- Author protocol/reports and execute equipment installation qualifications in compliance with QMS
Target Years of Experience: 2-8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
Duties:
- Lead advanced manufacturing process development with a focus on molding and coil winding technologies.
- Drive the development of equipment and tooling to support scalable, long-term production solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, material selection, and test method development to ensure efficient and compliant manufacturing processes.
- Develop prototypes and support early-stage concept ideation through hands-on experimentation and process refinement.
- Collect and analyze process data to identify root causes, drive issue resolution, and ensure processes meet performance specifications.
- Utilize statistical methods, data mining, and direct observation to evaluate and continuously improve manufacturing techniques.
- Document lab activities, experiments, and key technical learnings in a clear and organized manner.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to cross-functional project and functional teams.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes and deliverables adhere to relevant regulatory and quality standards.
Must Have (Minimum Requirements):
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Prior Medical Device
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong Interest and passion for manufacturing process technologies
- Troubleshooting, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to effectively communicate experimentation approach and results
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional team
Nice to Have:
- Strong background in manufacturing/operations role
- Moldflow experience, knowledge
- CAD, design experience
- Working knowledge of Statistics.
- Working knowledge of Design of Experiments and familiarity with Statistical software such as Minitab.
- Experience in process and equipment validation
Salary : $50 - $65
