What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sleep Lab Tech PRN position at Redeemer Health?

SUMMARY OF JOB
A Sleep Center Technologist is responsible for:
- Performing daytime and overnight polysomnographic monitoring on adult and pediatric patients.
- Perform MSLT/ MWT
- Perform PAP and oxygen titrations
- Setup and download of portable monitoring devices
- Perform staging and scoring as necessary
RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
· Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
-OR-
· Graduate of an AMA approved school for Sleep Technology or Respiratory Therapy -AND-
a) enrolled in or completed the A-STEP Online Self Study Modules – OR –
b) enrolled in or completed a CAAHEP accredited sleep technology training program,
or electroneurodiagnostic (END) program, or respiratory therapy add-on track for
sleep technology.
·At least one year experience in polysomnographic monitoring preferred.
·Ability to work various shifts when required.
.Current CPR or BLS certification
LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Current CPR certification.
- Obtain 50 CEU’s in 5 years
