Job Title: Cost Analyst

Location: Los Angeles Metropolitan Area

Job Type: Full time; On-Site


Redeployment is looking for an individual of the senior labor category can perform a wide range of duties from building oral/written presentations for high-ranking acquisition leaders to performing in-depth complex analyses with a high degree of quality and accuracy. Individuals of the senior labor category have a deep understanding of mission critical aspects of acquisition and DoD space programs/projects. They are expected to perform all functional duties, even of the lower labor categories, independently and require no training. They shall have relevant certifications and easily transition between requirements without the need for government oversight. They shall have deep knowledge of Higher Headquarters, Air Force, Space Command, processes, and procedures as it relates to their functional responsibility and speak/write Air Force and Space Acquisition terminology appropriately. Develop, maintain, and update credible, defensible, and replicable cost estimates for all programs in the Divisions portfolio in any phase of the acquisition life cycle. All cost estimates shall be developed in accordance with the applicable program documents to include but not limited to the Cost Analysis Requirements Description and Program Work Breakdown Structure. Analyze Program Contractor cost estimates to include, but not limited to, Engineering Change Proposals and Basis of Estimates to ensure consistency with government accepted cost estimating procedures and reasonableness given the programs posture.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • They shall have deep knowledge of Higher Headquarters, Air Force, Space Command, processes, and procedures as it relates to their functional responsibility and speak/write Air Force and Space Acquisition terminology appropriately.
  • Develop, maintain, and update credible, defensible, and
  • replicable cost estimates for all programs in the Divisions portfolio in any phase of the
  • acquisition life cycle.
  • All cost estimates shall be developed in accordance with the applicable program
  • documents to include but not limited to the Cost Analysis Requirements Description and
  • Program Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Analyze Program Contractor cost estimates to include, but not limited to, Engineering
  • Change Proposals and Basis of Estimates to ensure consistency with government accepted cost estimating procedures and reasonableness given the programs posture.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree relevant to their area of expertise limited to the following: Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Operations Research Analyst, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Statistics, or Cost Estimating/Analysis. At least three semester units of calculus is required for cost estimating positions.
  • 12 years of experience performing cost estimating activities for aircraft and/or spacecraft applications in the commercial, industrial, government agencies (only NASA, MDA, NRO, FAA, NGA, DOE), and/or military arena/ DoD, of which five years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of space and/or ground systems that support/tracks space programs.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools and Any Cost Estimating Relationship (CER) database and/or other Space/Ground System related databases, and 3 years experience with Microsoft Office Suite.


Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI

Travel: Sometimes
