What are the responsibilities and job description for the Switchboard Operator position at Redington-Fairview General Hospital?
The Switchboard Operator shall maintain coverage of Switchboard by answering all incoming calls, code blue phone, and the beepers. Must act in a professional manner, be neat appearing, tactful and friendly at all times when on duty, as they are the communication center and receptionist for the entire hospital
Status: Per Diem, available to fill all shifts
Qualities: Excellent communication and phone etiquette skills, including ability to speak clearly with a friendly tone. Ability to adapt to change, multi-task and handle emergency call/notification situations
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of switchboard and phone computer systems preferred. Customer service experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Computer experience is required.
