ReDiscover is seeking a Van Driver - PRN to add to our CPRC Program!

WHAT WE DO
CPRC is a case management focused program that provides individuals with support to live an independent life in the community. Through a variety of multidisciplinary services that clients can choose from including medication management, therapy, group therapy, health and wellness support, employment services and transportation support, clients can develop skills, access resources and learn ways to manage their emotional and physical health.
At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:
- Courier
- Light maintenance
- Clerical assistance
- Clients/passengers are transported comfortably and in a timely manner
- Routinely checks fluid levels
- Daily performs vehicle safety checks
- Fill fuel tank full as needed
- Records time and mileage on van routing sheet
- Records non-client mileage on proper form
- Works with Office Manager and administrative staff to help the program operation in a cost-effective manner
- Utilizes agency resources in a fiscally responsible manner
- Provides a welcoming atmosphere free of distractions
- Demonstrates respectful and appropriate language and non-verbal behavior.
- Actively seeks to resolve issues, problems and concerns
- Shows sensitivity to and appreciation of issues related to age, religion, ethnicity, race, socio-economic status and sexual orientation and gender
- Accepts and responds appropriately to feedback from clients, staff, supervisors and referral sources.
- Other duties as assigned
We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a Van Driver. However, here are some things that you will need prior to starting with ReDiscover:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must maintain a valid chauffeur’s Class E drivers license.
- The ability to work with all persons with multiple challenges (mental illness, substance abuse, physical challenges, developmental disabilities, etc.
- Some mechanical aptitude is needed
- Knowledge of streets and highways in southwestern Jackson County is also desirable
