What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Tech position at Redlands Community Hospital - GI LAB?
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, this position, under the supervision of an R.N., assists physicians and nurses in preparing for surgery and during surgical procedures; and performs related duties as required .

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
- High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Six months operating room experience with completion of formal Surgical Tech. Training Programs preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
- CPR certification required.
- Requirement for Surgical Tech II in the Operating Room: One year of experience and Surgical Tech Certification (CST, NCCT, or NBSTSA) required.
- Requirement for Surgical Tech II in the GI Lab: Two years of experience and a GI Certification (SGNA in lieu of CST, NCCT, or NBSTSA) required.
