What are the responsibilities and job description for the Desktop Tech position at Redlands Community Hospital - INFORMATION SYSTEMS?
Reporting to the Lead IT Services and Support Engineer, the Desktop Technician's principal function is to support the productivity of RCH staff who use desktop computers, peripherals, mobile computing devices and phones in the hospital and outpatient clinical settings. To ensure equipment is in optimal working state, the Desktop Technician configures, tests, and installs desktop and mobile devices; monitors and maintains devices within established guidelines; and troubleshoots and resolves technical issues with hardware and software.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field OR 2 years of desktop support experience in an enterprise Windows environment OR one of the following industry certifications: Cisco Certified entry Networking Technician (CCENT), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) or Comptia A preferred.
Strong customer service, analytic, communication, and problem solving skills with attention to detail.
Team oriented and proficient at working in a collaborative culture.
Valid CA Driver's License and automobile insurance for field work.
2 years of experience working in a healthcare environment (e.g. medical office, multi-office clinic, hospital) preferred.
