What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Assistant II position at Redlands Community Hospital - LABORATORY?
Reporting to the Laboratory Support Service Coordinator,
this position provides health care services, exercises professional judgment in
performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical
ethics. Performs all duties as described for Lab Assistant I. This position may
direct the front office and support staff for the Laboratory. It includes
training of new employees and facilitates the workflow as directed by the Lab
Support Service Coordinator and in accordance of the lab policies. Performs
Microbiology specimen set up including TB and staining slides .
EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
- One year of blood drawing experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician I license with the state of California required.
