What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance position at Reefer Peterbilt / TRP?
Description
Inside Building
- In the morning make sure bathrooms are stocked with toilet paper, hand towel dispenser is filled, and garbage is emptied and maintain throughout the week.
- Wipe all door handles down with sanitizer throughout the building each morning. Conduct routine maintenance checks.
- Complete maintenance tasks to repair appliances and preserve the quality of the facility within reason.
- Respond to maintenance requests for clogged drains, leaking vents, or damaged walls within reason.
- Complete minor maintenance work to the exterior of facility within reason.
- Maintain North/South side gates.
- Contact repair companies and schedule repairs when needed.
- Keep the lunchroom clean and garbage emptied. Clean out fridge once a week.
- Minor painting throughout the building when needed.
- Respond to all requests from staff, especially Mr. Reefer.
Shop/Customer Areas
- Keep driver's lounge clean and fridge always stocked with water.
- Keep glass door going into the service area clean.
- Keep customer counters in front of service office clean.
- Keep shop swept and garbage in shop empty.
- Keep oil waste area clean, clean 5-gallon pals that contained DEF, oil, or fuel. Clean oil pans.
- Empty scrap metal in gray cans when full into the metal scrap dumpster.
- Tuesdays, gather all shop rags in a garbage bag and place by Men's bathroom/Tech's locker room for Cintas to pick up on Wednesdays.
- On hot days make sure the Techs have Gatorade and water in cooler with ice.
- Perform monthly safety inspections.
- Make sure the start all has gas in it at all times.
Outside Building
- Keep entrances clear of snow, using the quad/snowplow, and salted. Make sure salt is not up against the building to avoid corrosion of the building.
- During the summer keep weeds by l-75 sprayed with weed killer and weed wacked. Spray weeds by new truck line.
- Each time it rains make sure to clear gravel off sidewalk by the street.
Communicate with Service Manaqer/Shop Foreman
Check in each day upon arrival and throughout the day with the Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
Requirements
Chauffer's License: Using the shop truck, run for parts from time to time or other errands when needed.
Run to gas station to keep the fuel for shop containers full.
CDL extremely helpful.
Salary : $18 - $20
