Reentry Campus Program Inside Pathways Coordinator
Position Summary: The Inside Pathways Coordinator is a critical liaison between incarcerated students, correctional staff, educational partners, and the Reentry Campus Program. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day coordination of RCP activities inside correctional facilities, including overseeing DSST testing logistics, maintaining and tracking tablet inventory, facilitating communication with students, and supporting academic and reentry planning. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to educational equity for justice-impacted individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination & Operations:
- Coordinate all aspects of DSST testing within the facility, including scheduling, proctoring logistics, and communication with RIDOC administration.
- Maintain accurate inventory and oversight of tablets assigned to students for educational use.
- Serve as a point of contact for facility staff regarding DSST testing, space scheduling, materials distribution, and student access to technology.
- Track and manage academic materials, assignments, and communication between students and colleges or institutions.
Student Support:
- Provide one-on-one support to students around credit evaluation, degree planning, and educational goal setting.
- Assist students in the development of Prior Learning Assessment Portfolio
- Coordinate individualized reentry planning and connect students with wraparound services where applicable.
Relationship Management:
- Foster and maintain respectful, professional relationships with incarcerated students and correctional staff.
- Act as a liaison between the facility and RCP’s external partners, including colleges and testing services.
- Ensure effective communication channels are maintained between all stakeholders.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure program activities comply with DOC policies and facility protocols.
- Monitor and report student participation, testing outcomes in Salesforce.
- Maintain detailed records for program tracking, grant reporting, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Strong organizational and logistical skills with attention to detail.
- Commitment to education access and second-chance opportunities for justice-involved individuals.
- Comfortable working in correctional environments and navigating institutional processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace and CRM systems.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience with testing coordination, educational technology, or correctional education programs.
- Familiarity with DSST testing and/or college credit-by-exam systems.
- Lived experience with incarceration or the reentry process is strongly valued.
