Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Ability to monitor a primary student appropriately and professionally over the course of the school day, while also providing supports to others, who might need it
- May provide assistance for daily living activities (getting dressed, eating) and must be able to participate in floor activities
- Assist with implementation of Behavior Intervention Plan, IEP objective and goals, communication, behavior, academic goals, social goals, and personal care/medical needs per a health plan
- Assist a primary student with any organizational concerns that might be communicated
- Must be able to remain positive, patient and persistent with challenging behaviors
- Participate in disability awareness training
- Diapering and toileting may be required
- Heavy lifting may be required
- Attend training sessions or meetings before or after school when needed
- Must be physically able to manage behavior and safety needs of children
- Should be CPI trained
