Fiberglass Finisher

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Inspects fiberglass part for defects in gel finish.
Repairs voids, cracks, scratches, chips and some structural problems in gel by cutting out defects, applying repair materials, buffing and polishing repairs.
Sands, re sprays and buffs surface profile imperfections.
Trims excess flash form edges.
Pulls parts from molds.

Hourly Pay Range

$16 - $25

Qualifications
Be able to use a variety of hand tools, razor knives, scissors, power tools, and overhead hoists.
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
Must be able to work a 10-hour shift standing, bending and lifting.
Have the flexibility to work overtime both planned and unplanned to meet company goals.
Must have strong attention to detail
Must be able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods.
Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits.
Must follow all safety standards and procedures
Must adhere to all quality standards
Must demonstrate a record of dependability and reliability with prior work experience
Must be able to work well with teams and in close proximity to each other
Able to understand and follow verbal and written directions
Skills in fiberglass and resin preferred

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
Stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions
The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to, with or without correct close vision, ability to adjust focus, and be able to distinguish between different colors.
