Director Development Program Management

Using program management knowledge and experience in the drug development industry, the Director determines objectives, works on abstract problems across functional areas of the business to ensure the operation of all major activities with the organization. We envision this role to have an impact on plans, policies and development of objectives, as well as monitoring performance against goals. You will be a key leader in managing others and managing major segments of the programs.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:

• Supervising managers and professionals; interacts with executive level management which requires negotiation of highly difficult matters to influence policymaking bodies both internally and externally
• Assessing the needs of the program and department and making operational decisions to drive success
• Facilitating achievement of goals for program and monitors ongoing progress of key project results against Regeneron’s overall goals by identifying potential risks and contingency plans
• Acting as a key liaison between Regeneron and corporate partners/ or vendors preparing major presentations for joint collaborating meetings effecting important business decisions. Responsible for driving decision making.
• Defining, design and implementing new processes and tools to ensure vertical and horizontal integration across functional areas
• Communicating effective and accurate challenges and progress to the team and senior management
• Proactively identifying and critically analyzing problems affecting programs and developing viable solutions

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a BS or MS degree with 12 years of relevant dynamic project/program management experience in the drug development/pharma industry. An advanced degree including PhD, MS plus MBA is preferred. We need someone to understand and motivate others to build effective teams and drive drug development programs/projects.
