Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and execution of PT sessions for midshipmen candidates
- Track and report on the progress of individual midshipmen candidates, providing targeted interventions for those needing additional support
- Maintain regular communication with the NPP Program Director and Military Resource Center staff about candidate progress and any necessary adjustments to training plans
- Ensure all activities are conducted within Navy safety and physical training guidelines.
Requirements:
- Must meet Navy height and weight standards
- Must be in good standing with the Hampton Roads NROTC Unit
- Must have achieved an Excellent Low or better on the most recent Navy Physical Readiness Test (PRT)
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or willingness to complete certification training prior to start of academic year)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate midshipmen candidates
- Ability to plan and execute fitness programs tailored to the needs of NPP midshipmen
- Knowledge of Navy physical training protocols and safety guidelines
- Excellent organizational skills to manage training schedules and participant records
- Ability to work collaboratively with other university staff and operate independently when required
- Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality
