What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Administrative Assistant position at REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER?
Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri 0800-1630, No weekends or holidays
This position performs activities relating to the daily functioning of the Laboratory department, in accordance with hospital and departmental standards and policies.
- Performs clerical and administrative assistant duties
- Reviews invoices for manager’s approval
- Reviews daily lab charges and posts manual charges
- Maintains current local and national medical policies
- Assist with Quality Management
- Prepares graphs and charts for Lab Manager
- Reviews Administrative Adjustments monthly
- Monitors lab orders for medical necessity and frequency
- Assists Manager with operations of EHR including troubleshooting, building and validating new tests, etc.
- Prepares monthly department statistical reports
- Creates & distributes weekly newsletter
- Records & distributes department meeting minutes
