What are the responsibilities and job description for the Histologist position at Regional West Medical Center?
Regional West Health Services is an independent, integrated health care delivery system based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. We are actively looking for a caring individual to join the team as a Histologist.
As an RWHS Histologist, you will:
- Perform all routine and special procedures offered by the Histology/Cytology Department on tissue specimens and body fluids.
- Follow established policies and procedures during specimen handling, processing, and testing.
- Use professional judgement to identify and resolve problems related to instrumentation, specimen collection, processing, and testing.
You may be a good fit if you have:
- An Associates Degree, or minimum of two years of college, in a science related field
- Training as a histologist under a pathologist with subsequent certification desirable
- Met all personnel qualification standards under CLIA 88
