Summary
The Graduate Intern for Accessibility Services is a 10-month (August-May) 30-hour per week position reporting to the Director of Accessibility Services. The Graduate is responsible for the coordination and management of the accommodated testing center, particularly for exams within nursing and the health sciences. While the primary focus will be on proctoring accommodated testing for students who receive this accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Graduate Intern will also assist with the general operation of the Office of Accessibility Services.
Essential Functions :
- Coordinate and proctor accommodated testing for students in the Accommodated Testing Center.
- Develop a testing schedule to maintain the integrity of all exams.
- Work with nursing faculty to assist in ATI testing needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.
- Act as a resource for anyone with questions regarding the Office of Accessibility Services.
- Collaborate with Student Affairs Graduate Interns to ensure coverage of all testing.
- Maintain an organized office and Testing Center environment.
- Represent the Office of Student Accessibility Services in a positive and professional manner at campus events as necessary (e.g., Admission events).
- Coordinate the student work study proctors on scheduling and administration of tests.
- Maintain Office of Student Accessibility Services () testing center email account.
- Email reminders of upcoming exams to proctors, students, and professors.
- Assist in creation of and staffing for office program initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Member of the Inclement Weather and Emergency Closure On-Call Team responsible for providing on-campus support for Library operations and residential students during campus closure.
- Support Office of Student Accessibility Services weekend and evening residential programming.
- Participate in regular Residence Life meetings, including Tuesday morning staff meetings and any trainings related to on-call policies or procedures.
