Summary

 

The Graduate Intern will serve as the undergraduate multicultural recruiter and coordinator. This is a 12-month, 30-hour/week position, starting in Fall 2022 that promotes developmental and professional learning while pursuing a graduate degree. Serving as a member of the Undergraduate Admission team, the Graduate Intern will work with the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission to implement a recruitment strategy around a multicultural and diverse student population.

 

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Assist with recruitment travel as needed from various territories.
  • Act as a liaison to the Center for Inclusive Excellence, work to establish events and programming specific to the needs of the multicultural enrollment strategy.
  • Serve as a member of the enrollment subcommittee, attending weekly strategy meetings and providing updates regarding multicultural recruitment efforts.
  • Evaluate applications and perform GPA recalculations for a small group of prospective students.
  • Serve as counselor of the day and conduct on-campus information sessions. This also includes giving tours on occasion.
  • Assist the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission with the Pride Guide program.


Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, admission to one of Regis College's graduate programs.
  • Ability to uphold the University’s commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Interest/Experience in higher education, leadership development, and event management.
  • Evening and weekend work in relation to travel and events is required.

 

 

Stipend & Benefits 

 

  • $5,000 stipend (paid over 12 months).
  • Free room and full meal plan. 
  • Tuition remission for two (2) eligible Regis graduate courses/semester, with a maximum of six graduate courses (18 credits) per academic year.
    • The following campus-based programs are eligible for tuition remission: 30 credits of MA in Strategic Communication, 60 credits of MA in Counseling (24 credits are not covered by tuition remission. The supervised field experience must be completed after the graduate intern role is complete.), and 33 credits of MS in Health Administration.
    • The following fully online programs quality for tuition remission on a space-available basis: 36 credits of MEd in Student Success, 39 credits of MS in Accountancy (3 credits are not covered by tuition remission.), 42 credits of Master of Public Health (6 credits are not covered by tuition remission.), and 30 credits of Master of Social Work.
    • Courses in the graduate Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Doctor of Education programs are not eligible for tuition remission.

  • Flexible schedule.

 

NOTE:  This is a 12-month position, with the opportunity to continue the position for one additional 12-month term (24-month maximum).

 

 

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

 

  • Normal office environment, not subject to extreme variations of temperature, noise, odors, etc.
  • Requires travel to local and national locations.
  • Requires work outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • May require lifting and carrying of recruiting materials.
