Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. is seeking candidates to fill full time Overnight Residence Counselor positions working with psychiatrically disabled adults in residential setting in Washingtonville, NY.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Establish and maintain good rapport and working relationships with residents.
· Support and encourage residents to meet their goals.
· Instruct people to gain skills of daily living
· Maintain a safe environment for residents and staff
· Supervise self-medication of residents.
· Instruct people on skills of daily living.
· Conduct fire drills.
· Provide advocacy and act as a role model to the people we serve
· Participate, when appropriate, in training sessions designed to enhance growth and skill development.
· Perform other reasonably related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
High School Diploma/GED or greater
Must be computer literate
Active/Valid driver's license
Successful completion of a criminal background check including Justice Center and New York State Office of Children and Families Statewide Central Register Database clearance
