Yard Driver - Weekend Night Shift

Shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6 pm - 5 am

Position Summary

The purpose of this role is to make deliveries, pickups and yard moves in a safe, efficient and timely manner, as directed by dispatch and plant management using company owned vehicles.

Accountabilities

• Engage in Safety to ensure Plan To Zero (PTZ) is met
  • Conduct all activities and perform all job duties and functions following strict adherence to established, company implemented safety behaviors, processes, and procedures.
  • Operate in accordance with CSA 2010 7 Basics
  • Complete all required truck and trainer inspections, yard checks, and other misc. paperwork.
• Improve and maintain Quality Expectations
  • Make deliveries, pickups and yard moves in an efficient and timely manner, as directed by dispatch and plant management.
  • Effectively communicate with management on equipment needs and repairs as they arise.
  • Effectively communicate with site personnel, customers, vendors and business partners in a professional business appropriate manner.
• Production Expectations are understood, achieved and sustained
  • Production-based position; must be able to effectively meet minimum production and quality requirements.
  • Any other duties as assigned by site leadership.

General Responsibilities

• • Perform sanitation, “Clean as You Go,” and good housekeeping practices in the assigned tractor and trailers and as direct by site leadership.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. consistently throughout duration of shift.

Qualifications

• • 5 years of Over the Road experience, with a clean driving record.
  • Current CDL Class A License.
  • Current DOT Physical.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Successfully pass Random Drug Screens.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, production based warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or comparable work related experience preferred.
