Job Description Summary The Food & Beverage Outlet Manager is responsible for coordinating, managing and leading daily front and back of the house of all food and beverage outlets to include banquets operations. Responsible for ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations, organize and supervise shifts. Responsible for responding efficiently and accurately to customer complaints. Provide feedback to associates regarding their performance. Job Description Principle duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include: Daily operations of all Food & Beverage Outlets including Banquets: guest service, service standards, cash handling, staffing in accordance with company policies and procedures. Aid in implementing the annual budget plan in accordance to Company operating policies and procedures to ensure profit goals are achieved and outlined. Plan and implement staffing schedules to ensure customer service standards are achieved with minimum employee cost. Responsible for planning (with Catering and Convention Service Manager) and arranging all food and beverage details for all functions including visually inspecting room set-ups (linens, table set ups and decorations) and equipment to ensure adherence to quality standards. Develop and maintain lasting relationships with in-house groups to ensure excellent service and retention of business. Prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecast to adjust schedules throughout the week to meet business demands. Achieve budget revenues, control labor cost, expenses to maximize profitability within all Food and Beverage Outlets. Enter billing information into the Point-of-Sale system to generate a final check in a timely manner. Analyze guest satisfaction data to develop and implement plans to achieve established related goals related to Guest Satisfaction scores. Maintain proper inventories of linen, supplies, and equipment as needed including ordering and receiving. Create, Implement, and Distribute Local Standard Food and Beverage procedures for all Food and Beverage Outlets as necessary. Ensure compliance with operating guidelines related to the corporate programs. Ensure operations comply with all state and federal laws, rules, and regulations, relating to food and beverage sanitation, alcohol and tobacco, and ADA requirements. Ensure adherence of all appropriate sanitation standards including, but not limited to, employee hygiene and uniforms, kitchen food service equipment and preparation areas, dining areas, patio, snack bar areas, restrooms. Establish and implement a cleaning and preventative maintenance program. Manage employment activities for applicable staff members, including but not limited to, personal recruitment and selection, training, compensation, and performance accountability to include performance evaluations, discipline, and termination, etc. Conduct regular departmental meetings with all Food and Beverage Outlets. Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team, department, community goals, objectives, and activities. Implement, conduct and monitor training programs for all Food and Beverage Outlets. Monitor, Measure and recognize associates to ensure team motivation within the outlets. Maintain knowledge of current and projected industry developments through continuous attention to industry periodicals and participation in relevant trade associations and organizations. Point of Contact for Large parties and coordinating needs from FOH/BOH team. Perform other duties as appropriate. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Display daily professional, courteous, attentive, helpful, and positive attitude towards all guests, fellow employees, and managers. Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team to reach common goals. Perform other job duties as requested by supervisors/managers as other job duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications and Skills: Minimum 3 years of Food and Beverage experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy and collect accurate information to resolve conflicts. Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations. Familiarity with local laws and ordinances related to engineering and maintenance. Knowledgeable about basic function of Windows OS, MS Office, and POS. Self-driven and able to work independently. Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol. Blue Card, Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required. Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license as the position may require the operation of motorized and electric vehicles. Education and Experience: Highschool diploma or GED required. Previous experience in hospitality, travel and/or food industry preferred. Experience in wine sales. Demonstrate experience and capability in all areas of staff management. Demonstrate quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision Outstanding organization and analytical skills. Work Environment: Must be able work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures - i.e., freezers, loading dock. Physical Demands: Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, pushing, and stooping. Climb ladders of various heights. Must be able to push, pull and lift to 50 pounds. Ability to stand entire shift. Expected Hours of Work: Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. Must be flexible to work various days and various shifts of the week to include weekends, holidays, days, nights and overnight. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards which have been established by the hotel from time to time is essential to the successful performance of this position. Ten to twelve hour shifts sometimes required. Travel: No travel required. Some travel maybe required to a from event sites. Additional Job Information/Anticipated Pay Range $66,000 - $85,000K - Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills, and job specific/overall experience.
