Description
As part of the IT Services five-person team for Jefferson County Government, Hillsboro, MO, this individual would actively participate in delivering high quality IT services including core network, server, workstation, SaaS, and multimedia technologies to 35 government and associated agencies. All team members must be able to work independently but are supported by the team especially in project implementations. Ideal candidate will drive system improvements in assigned areas while maintaining system reliability.
What You’ll Do
· Support multiple levels of complex information technology systems with overlapping duties
· Maintain a reliable system environment through proper patch and maintenance schedules
· Resolve hardware and software related problems dealing with computer equipment and vendors
· Support VMWare vSphere
· Ensure proper change management policies are followed
· Communicate problem resolution results to the client and documents within trouble ticketing system
· Travel throughout Jefferson County, MO
· Utilize:
o ManageEngine products
o VEEAM backup and recovery products
o SpectaGuard
o FaxFinder
o Liberty Recording
o Nimble storage
o IBM MaaS360 Mobile Device Management (MDM)
o TrendMicro APEX One, Vision One, XDR and other TrendMicro products
o Optical Fiber connectivity
o Aruba Networks
o Understanding of County department operations including County Sheriff
o Mitel phone management
o Barracuda Archiver
o Badge access systems
o Video Security systems
o CISCO, Meraki, HPE, and SonicWall
Requirements
· IT Experience: minimum 6 years
· MS AD Experience: minimum 4 years
· Ability to work independently and with small teams (Necessary Experience)
· Communicate clearly both verbally and in written form (Necessary Experience)
· Exceptional customer service skills (Necessary Experience)
· Willingness to cooperate and learn (Necessary Experience)
· Servicing Data Center related equipment
· Administering Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, Mail (aka Outlook) and Office (aka Office 365) subscriptions
· Understanding and experience in desktop, server and network security tactics, best practices, vulnerabilities
· Install, change, maintain, and remove components in an environment of network-wired and wireless, on premises, hosted, cloud, hybrid, mobile, and both traditional and virtual architectures
· Researching and working with various venders for obtaining software/hardware quotes
· Working with telephony
· Integrating various forms of secure and unsecure data exchanges
