As a Service Technician in the field, your role will involve maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Burner Management systems used in industrial settings. Responsibilities include conducting regular inspections of equipment, performing preventative maintenance tasks, identifying and resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will be expected to have a strong understanding of Burner Management system operations, technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to workplace safety are essential for this role. Additionally, you may be required to document maintenance activities, order replacement parts, and provide training to other personnel.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, operations, and duties
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding when dealing with any problem
  • Innovative and able to work in a fast paced, highly competitive environment
  • Ability to apply moderate- advanced knowledge of computers and office equipment
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to walk, sit, stand, climb, twist/turn, push/pull, squat, crawl/kneel, reach above shoulder
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand/wrist/arm movements
  • Average close/distance vision necessary in order to record data and operate equipment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and be understood by others
  • Must be able to hear the various equipment in order to diagnose issues
  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Clean Driving Record

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • The BMS Field Technician assumes responsibility for providing technical services related to the installation, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of Burner Management Systems while maintaining effective communications with fellow team members and clients
  • The BMS Field Technician must perform his duties to assure the safety of himself and those around him and ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the work area
  • The Field Technician assumes responsibility for providing technical services related to the installation, troubleshooting, testing, and preventative maintenance of Burner Management Systems while maintaining effective communications with fellow team members and the safety and cleanliness of the work area
  • Travels onsite to complete service work and monthly preventative maintenance requirements
  • Inspects, investigates and troubleshoots equipment for quality control and improvements
  • Provides technical support to necessary persons (customers, manufacturers, distributors, etc.) for product installations, troubleshooting, and training
  • Onsite training, installation, and support to necessary people
  • Manages and maintains truck stock of inventory
  • Secures appropriate parts and supplies through designated procurement system
  • Ensures all appropriate records are maintained such inventories of parts, equipment and tools, work orders, timesheets.

  • Presents self in clean, neat, professional manner and wears company uniform (if provided) in its entirety
  • Communicates questions and concerns to management
  • Engages in the company’s vision and seeks to implement processes and establish goals with the company’s vision in mind
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekends as needed

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Required)
