Brookdale Farms located in Eureka, MO is searching for an Animal Care Attendant.
Key Responsibilities:
Animal & Livestock Care
Feed and water animals according to specific dietary and health requirements
Monitor animal health and behavior daily; report signs of illness, injury, or distress
Assist with administering basic veterinary care as directed (medications, wound care,
etc.)
Maintain proper grooming, including brushing, hoof cleaning, and bathing if necessary
Barn & Facility Maintenance
Clean and sanitize stalls, pens, feeding areas, and water troughs regularly
Remove manure and bedding waste; replace with fresh bedding materials
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all animal housing and storage areas
Perform minor repairs to fencing, gates, and barn structures as needed
Recordkeeping & Communication
Keep accurate records of feeding schedules, health checks, and treatments
Communicate effectively with supervisors, veterinarians, and other team members
regarding animal needs or concerns
Animal Handling & Safety
Safely lead, move, and secure animals such as horses, cows, goats, pigs, or poultry
Ensure animals are secure during public visits, events, or transport
Follow all safety protocols for handling livestock and using farm equipment
Pasture & Grounds Support
Assist with pasture rotation, fencing inspection, and maintenance
Monitor feed and supply inventory; notify management when restocking is needed
Hours: Full day or split shift 7:00am - 12:00pm and 5:30pm - 8:00pm
