Position Summary
The Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) or LMHP-Resident (LMHP-R) at Reliant Solutions, Inc. provides clinical assessments, individual and family therapy, treatment planning, and supervision of community-based mental health services. This position serves a vital role in ensuring that client services are therapeutic, ethical, and compliant with the standards set by the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), and the Board of Health Professions. LMHPs/LMHP-Rs support programs such as Intensive In-Home (IIH), Mental Health Skill-Building (MHSB), Crisis Stabilization, and Outpatient Therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations using DSM-5 criteria.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and families.
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling to clients with a range of mental health needs.
- Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate, timely, and meets Medicaid, DBHDS, and agency standards.
- Provide clinical oversight and supervision to QMHP staff as required by licensure and Medicaid regulations.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, staff trainings, and inter-agency collaborations.
- Serve as the point of contact for managed care organizations (MCOs) during authorization and reauthorization processes.
- Respond to crises by offering clinical guidance and participating in stabilization efforts as needed.
- Assist with discharge planning and referrals to community resources to support continuity of care.
- Maintain licensure or residency status in good standing, complete required continuing education (CEUs), and uphold ethical standards of practice.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.
- Licensed or licensed-eligible as an LMHP (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or LMHP-R (Resident in Counseling or Social Work) in Virginia.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in community-based or outpatient settings.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, mental health diagnoses, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clinically sound notes and reports.
- Proficient with electronic health records (EHR).
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (for community-based programs).
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a full-time or part-time position based in a hybrid model of office and community-based services. Some evening and weekend hours may be required based on client availability. Services may be provided in the office, home, or community settings in accordance with the treatment plan.
