WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Providing remote and desk side IT support to include computer, phone, and applications
- Installing, configuring, upgrading, maintaining, and supporting laptop systems based on customer service requests
- Working to solve complex computer issues independently and as a team
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving all software and hardware support tickets that are assigned to the team
- Assisting in the development, documentation, and communication of better practices and procedures to ensure that the team is providing the best possible service
- Interacting professionally with clients exhibiting strong customer service skills
- Performing wired and wireless network troubleshooting including VPN connections
- Providing support for printing issues
- Prioritizing customer requests from IT Helpdesk and own the request through resolution
- Documenting internal procedures
- Assisting with onboarding of new users
- Maintaining inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses
- Performing vulnerability/malware remediation and anti-virus management
- Assisting the IT team with various projects
- Providing training and guidance for new technology to end users
- Performing repairs and replacements of hardware, software, and peripherals
- Planning and executing allotted work within deadlines and maintain records of daily tasks
- Maintaining accurate documentations for system installations, configurations, and upgrades
- Providing AV support for our video conference solutions (WebEx, Teams, Zoom)
- Any other items assigned by manager
YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required
- Two years’ experience in a desktop service or helpdesk role
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Adaptive and troubleshooting capabilities
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Motivation to learn new technologies quickly
- Working knowledge of Active Directory administration
- Strong drive and work ethic to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner.
- Ability to understand global concepts or to see the "bigger picture" and recommend solutions accordingly.
- Able to communicate effectively (written and oral) with team members and management.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision or independently.
- Working knowledge of video conference solutions (WebEx, Teams, Zoom).
- Experience troubleshooting and configuring meeting room equipment.
Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
- Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
- Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week in the office, 8 hours a day, arriving and departing on time, on schedule
