The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and supporting the Egg HACCP Rule, SQF certification and other regulatory requirements. You will verify and validate food safety and quality systems in the facility to ensure that the systems are working properly and safely, while analyzing data to evaluate patterns and trends in results from quality control tests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain site, environmental and product testing, program and procedures
- Responsible for training and development of all Quality and Sanitation technicians.
- Review and validate quality SSOP’s and procedures
- Assist in site Customer, Regulatory, and 3rd party audits
- Review Quality and production records
- Maintain and improve Master Sanitation Schedule
- Manage and order lab & sanitation inventories
- Maintain product release and hold dispositions
- Investigate customer complaint, site non-conformances and environmental issues
- Collect, analyze, compile, distribute and present various reports or information as requested or assigned
- Responsible for following and enforcing company food safety and quality procedures
- Ensure timely distribution of customer COA’s
- Provide after hour assistance in resolutions to quality, safety & compliance issues
- Provide as vacation relief for Quality and Sanitation personnel
- Enforce all procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, and support SQF and other third-party audit systems
- Perform other tasks assigned.
Backup:
- A trained designee will be appointed by management to cover for absences or vacancies; refer to Rembrandt Foods site-specific facility back-up matrix on file.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 1 year of food manufacturing supervisory/management experience
- Experience with SQF or other GFSI scheme
- HACCP Knowledge
- PCQI, HACCP & SQF Practitioner Certification
- Analytical/Microbiological laboratory experience
- Manufacturing experience in the meat and/or egg industry
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word
