Infant Development Program Job Summary:
The IDP staff will provide IDP services for infants 0-3 who are demonstrating developmental delays. All services for these children are provided in the child’s naturally occurring environment (i.e. home, day care, preschool, etc.).
Requirements:
Education and Experience
A high school diploma is required. Related coursework is preferred, especially 12 Early Childhood Education units and/or ECE certificate
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understanding the assessment goals of the consumer
- Implementation of service plan with the assistance of the coordinator
- Follow the initiation of the coordinator's schedule of the first meeting with parents (initial service meeting) with IDP Specialist to explain services and intervention plan.
- Provide initial parent IDP training and orientation to client’s parents.
- Coordinate and participate in regular strategy meetings for each client.
- Participate in weekly IDP staff meetings and provide presenting needs and additional services of the consumer
- Understand and implement training and department procedures and government regulations
- Attend all in-service training in child development, HELP, ABA principles, curriculum and activities, parent training, etc. as required
- Maintain regular contact and develop a positive professional relationship with the Far Northern Regional Center and their employees at the direction of the coordinator
- Develop collaborative and cooperative relationships with parents or clients being served
- Represent Remi Vista, Inc. in community or in interagency activities as required
- Review case records and evaluate the effectiveness of service plans and assessments
- Keep abreast of ever-changing treatment and methodologies surrounding the developmental needs of children and families.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned by the Regional Program Manager or IDP coordinator
- Travel/drive to meet with children and families in their homes or other natural environment
