Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, budgets, and reports for assigned properties.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing financial analysis as needed.
- Liaise with property managers and vendors to address financial inquiries and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of property transactions and financial data in the accounting system.
- Support year-end audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in property accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
