Facility Maintenance

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality is crucial.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC systems

• Hold a valid EPA 608 Certification

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on various building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Fabricate and repair components as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
• Operate and maintain logic controllers for automated systems within the facility.
• Conduct residential painting and other aesthetic improvements as required.
• Use tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
• Strong electrical skills, with the ability to read schematics and perform repairs.
• Leadership experience in supervising maintenance staff or projects is preferred.
• Proficient in English for effective communication within the team and documentation purposes.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical installations.
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.

• Niagra N4 building automation
• Water source heat pumps
• Water source rooftop heat pumps
• Gas high efficiency boilers.
• Pumps up to 100 HP
• Variable frequency drives
• Cooling tower operation and maintenance
• Kitchen refrigeration systems
• Ice makers
• Low and medium pressure natural gas systems
• Preventative maintenance on all HVAC systems
• Piping repairs up to 12” diameter

Applicants must be able to meet the following physical requirements:

• Bending, kneeling, and lying down
• Lifting up to 80 pounds
• Climbing ladders and using lifts up to 40’
• Standing/walking up to 8 hours
• Hot and cold environments within reason
• Assembly of various items
• Locker repairs
• Drywall and paint
• Carpet and VCT repairs/replacement
• Acoustical ceiling tiles
• Lawn care and general exterior upkeep

Experience:

• commercial HVAC systems: 3 years (Preferred)
• Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• EPA 608 Certification (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Ability to Relocate:

• Phoenixville, PA 19460: Relocate before starting work (Required)
