Renaissance Senior Homes is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Forks Twp.
The LPN serves as the shift supervisor, administers medications and provides residents with assistance in the activities of daily living and supervision to insure residents' safety in accordance with their established care plan to maintain the resident's highest level of independence. All care is provided in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the personal care home. Responsibilities:
- Assist with Toileting
- Skin care to maintain the health of the skin
- Range of motion (ROM) and muscle strengthening exercises to maintain
an optimal level of functioning - Respiratory assistance
- Bathing, grooming and hair washing necessary for personal hygiene
- Turning and position of residents
- Dressing or undressing of residents
- Redirection, monitoring and observation as per care plan
- Incidental household services that are an integral part of a personal care plan in the above items
- Report any changes in resident status to supervisor.
- Make beds daily and change bed linens as needed and assigned.
- Respond to residents' calls promptly
- Measure and record temperatures, pulse, blood pressure and respirations as instructed
- Weigh and measure residents in accordance with policy and as directed.
- Check residents routinely to insure their personal care needs are being met
- Watch for and report any changes in room temperature, ventilation, lighting
- Prepare residents for meals, serve food to residents and assist as indicated.
- Greet and escort residents to their rooms
Job Requirements:
- Valid PA LPN License
- Should have strong assessment skills related to the physical care and needs of the residents.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership, management, and delegation skills.
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Must be willing to work stated times as well as have a flexible schedule
- Must abide by Renaissance Home personnel policies.
- Maintain accurate, detailed and legible records
- Ability to promote and maintain positive relationships with the general public.
- Excellent customer service and listening skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills: able to effectively communicate with the residents & colleagues
- Attendance: Able to work scheduled shifts, committing to being there for your team and Residents.
- Computer Skills: Must be able to interact with our computer-based Electronic Medical Record
