Job Summary
The Physical Therapy Technician supports licensed physical therapists in delivering patient care by preparing treatment areas, assisting patients with exercises, and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role is essential to ensuring efficient clinic operations and positive patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists with patient treatments and therapeutic exercises under supervision
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment before and after sessions
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities as instructed
- Monitor patients during exercises and report concerns to the therapist
- Clean, sanitize, and organize therapy equipment and treatment areas
- Escort patients to and from treatment areas as needed
- Help schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Comply with clinic safety policies and infection control procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and therapeutic exercise concepts a plus
