Hydrostatic Tester

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Hydrostatic Pressure Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting hydrostatic pressure tests on various compressed gas cylinders in accordance with applicable DOT requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to analyze data effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform cylinder testing functions in accordance with all applicable guidelines set forth by DOT Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), and in accordance with the Compressed Gas Association (CGA)
• Identify and record DOT markings on every cylinder
• Valve and de-valve cylinders
• Perform internal and external cylinder inspections
• Perform Hydro testing on cylinders
• Stamp proper re-test markings onto cylinders
• Shot blast and paint cylinders
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience

• A high school diploma or GED required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience in the safe use of hand tools
• Basic computer skills to utilize current technology
• Must be flexible to work occasional mandatory overtime
• Can lift, push or pull at least 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
• Must have high attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Previous experience working with compressed gas and/or gas cylinders is a plus
• Must Pass and Maintain DOT/Hazmat training

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
