Job Purpose and Objectives
This position is responsible for the supervision of adults or adults and juvenile offenders assigned by the District Court to intensive supervision or to the custody of the Kansas Department of Corrections Juvenile Services. It requires assisting and counseling people in a group or one on one setting to change their behavior, referring for appropriate interventions, and addressing criminogenic risk factors with the goal of public safety.
Position Requirements and Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Position Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Be qualified for access to any Kansas Criminal Justice Information System (KCJIS) data.
- Not be registered on the Kansas child abuse registry.
- Not be registered on the Kansas adult abuse registry.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
Certifications / Licenses:
- Valid Kansas driver’s license.
