Position Overview

Reportwell is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to drive the development of our SaaS platform, supporting public sector clients with powerful, user-friendly reporting tools. In this role, you’ll build and maintain end-to-end application features, from intuitive front-end components to secure, scalable backend services—while also contributing to infrastructure and DevOps best practices.

This position is ideal for a product-oriented engineer with strong backend experience, solid frontend proficiency, and hands-on AWS knowledge. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional team and report to the Chief Product Officer. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Full Stack Development: Design, build, and maintain web application features using modern full stack technologies. 
  • Backend Engineering: Architect and build secure, scalable APIs and background services, ensuring performance and maintainability (Python, Django, Typescript, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB).
  • Frontend Engineering: Implement responsive UI components and seamless user experiences using a component-based frontend framework (React/Redux).
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Improve our AWS environment (including EC2, Fargate, IAM, S3, RDS). Troubleshoot and optimize cloud configurations and service interactions.
  • DevOps Support: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), orchestration (ECS or similar), and monitoring systems. Participate in on-call rotation and system troubleshooting.
  • Technical Strategy: Work with leadership on architectural decisions, technical roadmap planning, and long-term platform evolution.
  • Team Collaboration: Conduct code reviews, and participate in sprint planning. Collaborate with design and product to align engineering with business goals.
  • AI Integration: Integrate AI and automation tools to streamline reporting workflows for clients.

  • Qualifications

    • Experience: 3 years in full-stack development with emphasis on backend services, cloud infrastructure, and system design.
    • System Design: Understanding of containers, RESTful APIs, relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), and scalable application architecture.
    • AWS Proficiency: Experience with AWS (IAM, EC2/Fargate, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and troubleshooting across services).
    • DevOps Skills: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions), infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform), and Docker.
    • Technical Stack: Proficient in Python, Django, Typescript, React/Redux, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, and cloud-native application design patterns.
    • Communication: Strong technical communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain complex systems to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Compensation & Benefits
    • Base Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 per year
    • Performance Bonus: Up to 10% of annual salary
    • Healthcare: Medical, dental, and vision reimbursement
    • 401(k): 6% match, fully vested after 2 years
    • Equity vesting: Available for select candidates
    • PTO: 24 days annually national holidays
    • Flexibility: Hybrid schedule 


    Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
