Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist Westside

The work we do building families offers stimulation, challenge, and personal reward.We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our RMA of New York team at our Westside practice. The schedule is working full-time Monday through Friday between 6:45AM and 6:00PM. There is a every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation. When working on the weekend or holiday, it is from 7:00AM to 12:00PM. Must be able to train and provide coverage across multiple locations, including Eastside, Downtown, and Brooklyn practices. The pay range for this position is $20.00-$24.00 per hour.How You'll Contribute:We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Medical Assistant is responsible for:Monitoring patient flow.Phlebotomy.Bringing patients into exam rooms for procedures.Preparing exam rooms between patients.Responding to inquiries from multi-disciplinary medical staff.What You'll Bring:The skills and education we need are:High School Diploma or higher level of educationPhlebotomy/Medical Assistant Certificate is required.One year of related experience is preferred.Ability to multi-task.Excellent communication skillsKnowledge of ambulatory medical practiceStrong computer skills.Understanding of infection control practices.Medical terminology is necessary.
