Job Overview:
The Collaborative Demand Planner is responsible for contributing to the profitability and growth of the North America Wholesale division by developing and managing accurate demand forecasts. This role plays a key part in ensuring product availability, optimizing inventory levels, and improving service levels through cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain customer, brand, and SKU-level demand plans for supply and production planning.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and seasonal patterns to improve forecast accuracy.
- Provide leadership with clear reporting on customer and brand forecasts for strategic decisions.
- Conduct analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) across product lines and accounts.
- Utilize statistical tools and planning software to generate demand reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review business performance at customer/brand/channel level.
- Develop and manage metrics for fill rates, forecast accuracy, and service levels.
- Monitor order tracking, fill rate performance, and backorders; communicate recovery plans as needed.
- Coordinate inventory across locations to enhance supply efficiency.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to support supply chain and business decision-making.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations, Excel reports, and written narratives for leadership communication.
- Lead and participate in forecast alignment meetings with Sales, Product, and Customers.
- Balance production requests with financial plans and make informed forecasting decisions.
- Mentor and support the training and development of an indirect report.
- Assist in facilitating training workshops and improving planning processes.
- Understand customer performance across Replenishment and New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Build end-to-end knowledge of supply chain models for effective stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and demand planning systems/software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Experience mentoring or training team members is a plus.
